Privacy Policy

Information Collection and Use
The APICS NSW Chapter is the sole owner of the information distributed and collected within this electronic newsletter. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. APICS NSW Chapter may collect information from our users within specific sections of this newsletter.

Usage
To receive this newsletter, the recipient must have a business relationship with APICS NSW Chapteror must first subscribe to it by clicking on the "subscribe" text in the menu. While subscribing, the user will be asked to enter and submit their email address. This email address will then be added to the newsletter database. That user will begin receiving newsletter updates with the release of the next issue.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's hard drive containing information about the user. Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while visiting this newsletter. Once the user closes their browser, the cookie simply terminates. For instance, by setting a cookie on our electronic newsletter, the user would not have to enter a password more than once, thereby saving time while viewing the newsletter. If a user rejects the cookie, they may still peruse the newsletter. In this case, the user simply may be limited in some areas of the newsletter.

Log Files
We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer this newsletter, and track users' movements. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.

This electronic newsletter may contain links to other sites. Please be aware that APICS NSW Chapter is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by this electronic newsletter website.

Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time, APICS NSW Chapter may request information from users via surveys. Participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and email address), and demographic information (such as postal code). Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Security
This newsletter website takes every precaution to protect our users' information. When users submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline. All of our users' information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, the communications) are granted access to personally identifiable information. All employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Employees are notified and/or reminded regularly about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our personal information is protected. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secured area.

Site and Service Updates
Periodically, we may send subscribers announcements of newsletter and service updates. Subscribers are not able to unsubscribe from newsletter announcements, which contain important information about the newsletter.

Correcting/Updating Subscriber Information
If a visitor's personally identifiable information (such as your email address) changes, we will endeavour to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user's personal data provided to us. Of course, a user can always simply send an email message to us at enquiries@apicsnsw.org.au with their new email address and/or other personal information. If a person wishes to unsubscribe from this newsletter, they can simply visit the most recent issue and click on the "unsubscribe" text in the menu.

Unsubscribe
Our subscribers are given the opportunity to unsubscribe from the newsletter, which will result in having their names and email addresses removed from the subscriber list and cause them to no longer receive email updates. Subscribers can unsubscribe by visiting the most recent issue of the newsletter and clicking on the "unsubscribe" text in the menu.

Notification of Changes
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on our newsletter home page. If, at any point, we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by way of an email. Users will have a choice as to whether or not we use their information in this different manner. We will use information in accordance with the privacy policy under which the information was collected.
